Christian's Diary

Dear Diary:

I feel pain as I inhale toxic air. My heart is pumping up and down as I lose control of my heavy breathing. Screaming for help, families screaming for their kids telling them "GO PROTECT YOURSELF" as guns shots fire. I sniff fire that keeps blazing, buildings collapsing. People limping to safety, bodies now ash spread on the road.
I have ANXIETY.  " Ya rajul ya lah min yawm!"  ( Man what a day ).

Diary : Asinate

Dear Diary :

Voices screaming with happiness and joy. Old sheets, covered with cob webs. His body odour floated  around the room. So many pressures were put on me. I felt relief as I get a unique smile back. I feel good knowing I did that...I created that smile

A Sailing Experience- Asinate

                                  A   Sailing  Experience

It was a gloomy forecast for sailing as the Years 7 and 8 of Saint Patrick school hop onto the bus towards the sailing venue. When we got to our destination, we got greeted by the lovely people Holly, Colin, Robbie and Kim. We also got greeted by our sponsors of St Johns Rotary and Yachting New Zealand. Thanks to them for sponsoring our class so we can experience the fun of sailing. Thank you for coming and taking the time out of your day to talk to us. As I got with my partner Giselle, we pushed our boat into the water. The ground was super slippery. We both tried our best to make it there without slipping but it was tricky. We hopped in the boat and it already nearly tipped over so we had to balance the boat, it was very hard to do. After we had lunch, we got in the boat again and Holly told us to push the boat more into the water. After pushing the boat for about 5 minutes we made no progress (I don't know why) the water was pushing us to the side. Giselle and I just hopped into the boat and tried to sail with the others and we both fell out of the boat AGAIN and stared to push the boat as we swam. When we finally got to the deep side, we got on and sailed again which ended up with us two falling off but this time the boat came along. Once again thank you so much to St Johns Rotary and Yachting New Zealand for sponsoring us and letting us have a fun experience.

Diary Entry

This is a diary entry I have written in response  to a short  animated movie we are studying for literature.

Dear Diary:

Help, I am horrified seizing my tears together, I feel abandoned. As my glum tears pour uncontrollably, I feel depressed. As I witness something, terrified guiltiness roamed around my soul. As he wrapped his bright yellow scarf, I could smell the scent, he still wore my mum's perfume. It smelt like home. We both snuffle in our tears uttering "goodbye ."

Praying in colour: By Asinate

This term in prayer we are learning about different ways to pray. Today we did a prayer in "colour" praying for all those who need us at this time.

My Favour Vales : By Asinate

Today we discussed our values. We had to dig deep and think hard about what really counts. I chose the value of my name because  it has a special meaning, I am named after 10 generations that were all girls and only one boy who I was named after. My name means beautiful flower! This is why I have chose my name, my name that was given to me by my parents. I feel blessed to have this name. I created my value in clay so I could be reminded about what it means to me personally.
