Multiplication by 2,5 and 10 By Asinate

Learning -Intention-W.A.L.T-multiply numbers up to 100.
Success Criteria-I know I am successful when I can multiply numbers using skip counting,doubles and repeated addition.

Problems:How many marbles are there altogether.
1.)How many marbles are there altogether?
2 children had 10 marbles each=20
I know it is 20 because double 10+10=20,  I multiply   10X2=20 
 I skip counting by two's  - 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20   




2.)Poppy,Sam,Emma and have 5 marbles each .How many marbles do they have altogether.I know it is 15 because I skip count in five
5,10,15 and I use repeated addition 5+5+5=15 and I multiplied  5X3= 15

3.)Bently ate 3 of  biscuits .There 10 biscuits in each packet.How many biscuits did he ate altogether ?I use repeated addition 10+10+10=30 I multiplied 3 x 10=30. I skip count by ten.10+10+10=30

Adding on Tens By Asinate

L-I :W.A.L.T.-add tens to any number by counting in tens or adding tens together.
Success Criteria-I am successful when I can add tens together.

1.40 carving + 20 carving=60 
I know that 4 tens + 2 tens =6 tens

2.37 banana +40 banana =77
I know it is 77 because 30+40=70+7=77

3.15+ 5+ 10=30
I know it is 30 because 15+5=20+10=30

4.6+4+2+7+8=27
I know it is 27 because 6+4=10+2+8=10 so 10+10=20+7=27

5.43+7+30=80
I know it is 80 because 43+7=50 so 50+30=80 

Sharks: By Asinate

Success Criteria-I am successful when I can write a report about shark. 

Sharks are fish.They are cold blooded.

Shark have  sharp  teeth for eating fish.Some shar;ks eat smaller sharks.Some sharks eat sea lions.

They  have fins for balancing when they are swimming. They have a tails  to help them go faster.They have a gills for breathing. Sharks are grey and some are white and black.

They can be found in ocean and the sea.Shark live in the water because they are a sea creatures. 

Shark must keep swimming or it will sink.

The day saved Emily by Asinate

                   The Day I saved Emily
 Last Thursday down by the river, I  was fishing all  by myself  when there was a loud scream.  A little girl was in the water.  She was shouting for help. I dashed in  and pulled her  out. I had my clothes on and I was shivering ...After  that Emily's  mum said, "Thank you so much for saving Emily".

Success Criteria-I know I am successful when I can show love and respect for the tapu of the land.

1.I pick up all my rubbish and take my rubbish  home.It will make our community clean.
2.I look after the trees, because they gave us food and shelter.
3.We look after the animals, they gave us food ,clothing ,and drink.
4. I will not throw rubbish into the river and sea because they gave us water to drink, where to swim and food.

On Ash Wednesday we went to church for mass.Father Andrew

talk about Lent and he said the things he is  burning are the  things we love in life. Aleenah read her treasure, and put it on the fire.
Then we went inside the church to hear mass. Father Andrew put a sign of a cross on my forehead using the ashes. Then we went back to class.

Learning Intention- W.A.L.T- recognise Lent as a season for turning back to God through prayer.

Success Criteria-I know I am successful when I write a prayer.                                         

Dear God please help the builders to finish our new classroom. Help me at home and at school to listen to my teacher. Help my friends and my family to be safe.I am sorry for what I have done bad. Amen.
